“Be great in act, as you have been in thought” William Shakespeare
This coming Thursday we celebrate Thanksgiving. It’s a great time to spend with family and friends while giving thanks for the life we have. Unconsciously you have settled for the life that you have: if this weren’t the case, you would have done something to change it. Regardless of where you find yourself right now, if you read these words you have life. There are countless people who would give anything to be where you are right now reading these words.
Sometimes we take the commodities that make up our waking lives for granted; things such as running water, shelter, and electricity. Because our basic needs are met, we should use our free time to think big. When you daydream, what are some recurring thoughts you have? What does your dream job look like? Where do you live? What do you do in your free time? What are your hobbies?
The life you have envisioned for yourself can be yours. Keep looking for the good things in life; the things you are grateful for. Make a list of these things, and use it help acquire more good things in your life. If you think you don’t have much to be grateful for, remember that focusing on the good things you already have leads to more good things. What you choose to focus on grows, so choose to focus on the positive.
Thank you for taking the time to read this post. I am grateful for the opportunity to help you achieve your goals.
