Food for Thought

“I think therefore I am” René Descartes

Look at your surroundings. Everything you see started as an idea in someone else’s mind. In a similar way look at your life right now. Your thoughts have created your life up to this point; if you don’t like what you see, you can make the decision to change it.

Many people feel stuck and become victims of their circumstances. This is because they don’t know what they want, they just know they don’t like their current situation. It is easy for people to get into a cycle and just go through the motions of every day life. Insanity has been defined as doing the same thing over and over again and expecting a different result. In order to change, you first need to be very clear about what you want.

Let’s take a look at the building blocks that make up your life: habits. Think about it, all your daily routines are made of habits. Everything from how you get ready for work to how you perform at work is all made up of habits. Once you have a clear picture in your mind of how you want your life to be, you can start focusing on changing the habits that are going to help you achieve your vision.

Developing positive habits is going to take time; the best way is to start small and build your way up. If you keep at it, one day you will look around and say to yourself, “I created this life.”
